How Suzano Offsets Emissions
To offset emissions arising from production and transportation to Europe of 1 ton of Report Carbon Neutral® Paper, 6.1 trees originally found in Atlantic Coastal Rain Forests are planted in a degraded riparian vegetation area, which is protected by law next to the Faxinal river in the municipality of Porto Feliz, São Paulo State - Brazil. That represents the absorption of 959 kilos of CO2 emitted during the production and transportation of the paper to Europe.
